Essential grid

I began this website because I want to take the experience that I gained by helping a large industrial manufacturing company to achieve its environmental goals and down size it for my own life. I see the parallel between my home life and the company. Right now in my home, we recycling some. We have a few LED light fixtures. We garden. I occasionally compost. I do just enough to make myself feel like I’m doing something. But really, I know I can do better. I can talk the talk, now I need to walk the walk.

If I can get a work force of 700 grumpy old men to sort their trash at the source, and report water leaks, and turn off lights at their stations…I know I can get my family of 4 (including myself) to do better. I am documenting this journey here for you. Join me on my journey from Meh? to Marvelous!  I will use my expertise from my work life and pare it down to my home life. Everything starts with just one person. I am just one person who will tidy up my house and life to be as environmentally responsible as I possibly can.
